Bubble? That means gas is evolving out of the batteries. Does that mean you need a steady supply of chemicals to keep the batteries functional?

nope, I filled them up with chemicals and distilled water already.
From here on out all I need to do is add a little distilled water every so months to replenish the water lost
when it dissociates into hydrogen and oxygen from the charging process

I've seen plans on the internet to make your own backyard solar water distillery too. You can be totally self sufficient with that and these batteries.

Very nice!  Looks like you have plenty of space left.  What's next?  Solar hot water?

Looks great. I wish I had the know-how to put that all together myself.

That's what the roof installer said, "you still got room to extend the rails if you want to add more later".

But if I add more I'll need to upgrade the rest  of the system. Right now max output is 60 Amps @ 24 Volts
which is the limit for the charge controller. Also, thats not all the batteries, just 1/4 of them. Actually what's
next is probably to set up 2 X PV panels I have left over to either power up our pool pump or else our water well
pump, or maybe both. I tore out the solar hot water panels that were on the roof previoulsly because they sat
directly on our roof thus rotting it. Any panels must be mounted on extensions so that the moisture doesn't
stay trapped rotting the roof
