More tourists attacked in Guatamala

In March, protesting farmers briefly kidnapped four Belgian tourists at Lake Izabal to press for the release of a jailed activist. They were released unharmed.

Personally, I would not bless countries with a long and chronic history of brutally attacking foreigners with my tourist dollars.

There's a lot to be said for learning machete fighting. Personally, I'm studying a martial arts style known as Pencak Silat Pukulan which hails from Indonesia.
