Flash mob robberies?!

The story is mostly about specific incidents of fairly brutal muggings coordinated by texting. They converge suddenly on the victim, so I bet it is hard to notice them coming until it's too late. This is scary.

While there have been reports nationwide of shoplifting and other crimes carried out by "flash mobs" coordinating their efforts through text messaging, the attacks Saturday did not appear to be coordinated by any social media, police said.

If you are the subject of a Flash Mob attack immediate and violent resistance is the easiest and only effective way to stop the assault. Cooperating with these criminals will give them total control over you, your customers and staff. Surrendering to multiple thugs will invite more serious events such as rape and even murder. Maybe we need to start some kind of defensive network so we can phone in our own flash mob to defend against their flashmobs. Nah, wouldn't work. Flashmobs of black people are simple enjoying their right to freedom of assembly. A flashmob of white people would be labeled as racists and the police would decend on them in force.
