I am one who is very concerned for the Earth, the US economy and sustainable agriculture.
Cheffie= female '99 grad of The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park NY and St. Helena, CA, my extern was food media. I am married to a '01 grad. I grew up in NYC and met my husband at the CIA.
He is from Wichita, KS, and I spent six unfortunate years there as an Executive Chef for a certain 10,000 employee strong airplane building factory.
Due to certain positive career choices, we now live in Northwest Arkansas, in the the beginning of the beautiful Ozarks, on a one acre property, with established gardens: water, veggie & flowers. I have applied to the Master Gardener Program of U of A, my dream is to start a Victory Garden program like San Fransisco has, partnering with the US's largest upscale US restaurant chain; which I now manage in NWA, in our neck of the woods.
Too bad my back had to go out, I would still have my own business of BBQ. And cheffing. But, with 2 chefs,married, I think we will survive when TSHTF. My husband quit his very high paying chef/management job to go back to school full time/line cook on weekends to get his master's and eventually his PhD in Food Science.
