If you have a Joann's nearby, they have a 50% of thread sale every 2 months or so.  I buy sewing cones of thread for my serger for $1/cone.  4 cones on the serger, took me a year to run out a cone.  Found a big bag of cone thread at Goodwill for $5.

I have heard of a Joann's but there is no sewing stores locally anymore.

Hobby Lobby has a monopoly here now.

According to Google, there is a Joann in Fayetteville.

Gorilla tape will patch holes in jeans and stay attatched thru at least two trips thru the washer and dryer.
Gotta learn how to knit socks and mittens if you want to survive in montana.

When my son returned to the states from Germany, I went with him to Virginia Beach, Virginia to help him set up housekeepping and stuff.

When I got ready to come home, I rented a car, no map needed.  And just drove home.

I had no misdrives, no issues, even with road construction detours in Nashville, Tenn.  Until I got to Fayetteville.  I knew that I was home, when I got lost in Fayetteville as usual, and was heading south, not north! ha ha  I do know the certain sites that signal... oops wrong way!

I seem to just have a "mental block" about Fayetteville, I get lost every single time!  Needless to say, I don't go there, unless there is no choice at all.

I watched some You Tube videos on how they turn flax into linen.
I am fascinated that you eat the seeds, rich in Omega-3's and then you can make thread and ultimately linen out of the stems.  I further noticed there was some pieces not usable for thread, and I view these as great for animal bedding!  I really need to invent my own spinning wheel, just for the fun of learning it.
We did weaving on looms in college and that was fun.
