She was "all too human". Give her credit for not going through with the abortion. Find goodness and personal value in others without making excuses for or lying about their flaws. It's the only way to get through life without turning into Young Goodman Brown.

I suggest coming up with some healing words beforehand in case questions about possibly hurtful topics come up. Then you'll be ready for your meeting, and won't need to feel scared to death. Your emotional state may make a huge impression on her, so I suggest making it totally positive. If you need suggestions, ask me offline as your own emotional state is probably and understandably a bit fragile right now.

Thanks Atash, Laura and I talked today ( thats her name)  Is a wonderful young lady and is as excited and scared as I am to meet in person. However after talking we are both mostly excited.  I have been bouncing off the walls for the last couple of days, hardly slept last night because of the excitement.  Will keep you updated.

Glad to hear that things are going smoothly between the two of you.

I love hearing about this kind of thing.   :happy005:

Quick update.  Laura and I talk for an hour or two a couple of times a week. Still haven't been able to get togethe however. With her college classes, working two part time jobs she's pretty busy. I ahve taken a second ( a part time one) job so we can get everything paid off ASAP so the wife can retire soon. She's about burned out after 25  years teaching. I work 14-18 hours a day plus add some recent home emergency repairs ( leaking roof and bad water heater) I've been swamped.  But we're planning a get together/ camping trip at the "retreat" in april or may for a week. Will keep you updated on what happens.

When one is working a lot of hours a bad water heater is a big deal.  The same goes for a leaky roof.
