hello
« on: October 21, 2008, 01:39:10 PM »
I am a 43 year old married man with 4 children and one grandchild. I live on 10 acres 1 hour away from Dallas.
I have been into the survival scene quite a few years now. Besides survival my hobbies included computers and ham radio.

Devkirch,
Sounds like you are made in the shade. You already have your land. Am I correct in assuming that you have your own well and food supply (garden) too?

Stick,
   How d'ya do?

Pleased to meet you!  :greet009: 3 children and ONE ON THE WAY despite the age of my wife and I. I'm going to be "Grampa Dad".

Most of us have small yards but WANT acreage. What are you currently growing?

OH, we've been talking a lot about ham radio lately!!! Maybe we need another topic, for far-flung communications!

Some of us are planning to make a break to parts of world with significantly less infrastructure that what we have here (or for that matter, what we have here--those of us who live in older cities--is breaking down). We need a ham expert on board!

We're running out of petroleum. Are you ready?

+1 on the ham operator. I have no commo skills and I need to learn, of course I was planning on going it alone thus precluding any need for commo, but that's changed recently.

You will be a useful resource Jason (you too, Devkirch), so it's just as well you're onboard. We'll try to get that land-hunting expedition going this spring (our spring...). I'm really looking foreword.
