Grandpa who did not kidnap boy arrested for his abduction!

Clemens F. Tinnemeyer, 51, was booked into the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Central Detention facility, the county sheriff said. The detention facility's Web site said Tinnemeyer is not eligible for bail.

It was unclear what charges Tinnemeyer was booked on or might face. A San Bernardino County sheriff's spokeswoman referred questions to federal officials. An FBI spokeswoman did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said Friday that Tinnemeyer was sought for questioning in the kidnapping of Cole Puffinburger, who police say was snatched from his home Wednesday by three armed men who tied up the boy's mother and her fiance and ransacked the home, taking the child when no money was found.

I understand that the grandfather might have created the motive...if so there is no need to arrest him until and unless charges have been filed...one does not usually make an arrest just to ask questions. What this looks like to me, is that instead of going after the kidnappers, they went after someone who MIGHT have stolen...from drug dealers!

I was quite confused when I read the article on CNN this morning.   They have not found the child, but have aprehended someone who supposedly stole money from drug dealers in another country.

I am confused as to what exactly he is being charged with.  Our country steals money from drug dealers and suspected drug dealers all the time.  If a US citizen does it to someone in a foreign country why do we arrest them?

Failure to pay income taxes on it?

I am outraged. If that boy dies (it's not his fault his grandfather possibly steals from drug dealers...his parents by the way contrary to some of the intentionally deceptive publicity were NOT involved in that business...), his blood will be on a lot of hands.

As I suspected. The Amber alert was lifted not because they found him, but because his abduction lead to a protected racket.

Praise the Lord he's been found alive. The kidnappers let him go.
