Another handy reference provides lists of how many row feet of garden it takes to produce a given volumn of crop.

This is a missing link in my gardening information. How about copying this and posting it in the survival gardening section?

I will post this here and with some of the crop threads. Geri Guidetti's site is wonderful re seed saving and proper long term storage info, how to, non -hybrid info, etc. She is  honest &wonderful to deal with; I had a nice set up from her years back, properly stored and my wife threw them out on one of her manic??? thoughtless cleaning frenzies. oh well, what's a hundred dollars+/- lost??? have not had the mony to replace. Anyway without further ado:   http://www.arkinstitute.com/

ofdalip - Finally took the time to look at the site suggested and it is the updated version of the book I have.  Not sure I want to switch horse midsteam but modifying the in process routine is very likely.  Thank you.

For those interested in knowing how much you should be storing and keeping track of it all, here are several sites from Millennium Ark:

I have taken the Deyo Storage Planner (spreadsheet) and tweaked it for my family's needs (deleting all but items we consume/require) I also made quantity substitutions based on LDS storage units.
The LDS used to have a free spreadsheet, but now charges for it.

Thanks for the link. I've seen Stan Deyo's site before, but I never got deep into it. There is a lot of information at that one link alone, it's almost one stop shopping for the survivalist.
