I think maybe I need a new camera. I swear the focus is malfunctioning more and more these days. Unfortunately it does not have a focus confirmation, so unlike with my daughter's camera, I can't tell what it thinks it should be focusing on. It's almost always wrong, and usually something in the background, instead of the foreground. I think some of its focusing algorithms don't work at all; nothing is in focus. Often while it is focusing, it will start near focus and throw itself totally OUT of focus. When it does focus, the pix can be incredible, but when it doesn't the whole picture is ruined.
