I think she looks exotic. She's not a hottie, she's not ugly, just exotic in an attractive sort of way. I've seen real playboy centerfolds signing autographs at tradeshows, and I thought they were all very average looking in person.

Consider her in the context of Olympics contestant, not to mention from a poor country. Hmm...a lot of respondants thought her face is too small...I do think the face is important but in this case my eyes were drawn elsewhere...

Because truly beautiful women rarely do that sort of thing and associate with that sort of crowd. Before digital editing it was airbrushing and soft-focus lenses. Now, almost all they need is a model to pose and an, ah, imaginative artist, and he basically redraws her. Someone shot the process on video to make a point about magazine art, and the total amount of editing is surprising when you actually see it.

I think I posted a link to an article about photoshopped magazine art, including one where the artist altered a woman's waist and accidentally covered up her bellybutton.

I think that was in a previous version of the forum.  We had a lot of interesting discussions that were lost.

<laughing>

she looks fine and I am  happy for her that she is doing so well by herself.

there is so much I want to say just to respond to the few previous posts, especially  yours Atash, but somehow I doubt  you whistle a lot at girls, no matter what they look like.

And where you are going, I seriously doubt that hair removal is a real high priority.

And makeup.

And organized sports.

and much else other than surviving to the next year <smile>

I think I posted a link to an article about photoshopped magazine art,

I have argued for years that billboards and fast food signs (and Atash's pictures of food) have been altered.  And that there is some kind of genius artist behind them who somehow captures the essence of his subject to create something more real than real.... and more beautiful than beautiful.

Will someone kindly direct me to that human-potential thread,  where we can talk about artists capturing reality that is more real than a photograph?

There should be an interesting post on it later in the day, when I have time to post.

Atash's pictures of food) have been altered

Other than color correction to deal with florescent and flash lighting, I am completely innocent.  :D  I occasionally tweak flower pix to get rid of blemishes, sharpen detail, and that sort of thing, as well as color-correct if the lighting was bad or if I had to use flash.

I love taking portraits, and I do retouch those.
