« on: January 06, 2009, 12:49:31 AM »
i am driving up to pick up a pay check from 6 weeks ago and now i consider it extra money?  i am looking to get myself a belated christmas gift or two.  any recommended on any good shops in the western washington area would be appreciated.  last time i bought anything i was an oregon res, but i don't want to hassle being an out of state buyer.

Check DJs Pawn Shop in Bothell.  They have a big selection of used firearms, and they have a lot of stuff that's not on display - It says Pawn Shop - but it's about 98.9% firearms.  The actual pawn shop stuff consist of a small counter of jewelry and a closet sized area of tools.  If you want new, I'd check Mary's Pistols in Tacoma (pretty much what is says - all pistols), and Surplus Arms and Ammo in Lakewood ("black" rifles and tupperware mostly).  It's always fun to walk through Sportsmen's Warehouse in Federal Way, but unless they're having a sale, they won't have the best price.

I did a search on the web and found a place called "Survival Arms". A name like that sounds pretty promising to me. Their contact info is 13433 NE 20th St Ste 1,  Bellevue, WA 98005 (425) 614-4867.

I wouldn't put too much faith in just a name. I did a search as well and came up with "Florida Survivalist" in Clearwater. Yet when you go there they have not one M1A
rifle or parts. Names can deceive unless you have firsthand knowledge

Wades guns in Bellevue, WA has a large selection.  I'm not sure they have many used guns if that is what you are looking for though.

well i like to buy used if i can find what i am looking for.  this is what i have in mind, i would like to buy a 20 gauge 870 used if i can find one.  i am also looking to get 3 hi-point 9mm new.  i want these because i have always had good luck with them and all they are going to be used for is bug out bags (vehicals) i am making up for my dad, sister, and brother.  i know some of you will laugh at them but they do work and i can't see putting more expensive guns in thier cars.  and then what i will be looking for is another ak or a sks-d.  the check is for about $1800.

One of the best places I have been reccomended to is Kesselring Gun SHop. I heard a huge selection and they sell to local law enforcement to.
4024 Old Highway 99 N Burlington. 360-724-3113. I'm told they have everything and anything when it comes to guns and ammo. Good Luck

I've bought stuff in K-rings as we call it and it's definitely something to see if you're that far north.  However, I've been told that in the last year or so they are changing their business model and moving toward their wholesale ammo business.

Pretty much all the Bellevue shops I've been in, IMO, are way overpriced.  I know when I bought my AR15, Wade's wanted $1800.  Bullseye in Tacoma had it for $1450 and I paid $1200 on Gunbroker.
